Luis Vargas' diverse professional background includes experience in US Hispanic marketing, international marketing, traditional brand management, alternate channels marketing, innovation and new product development in Fortune 500 CPG, Pharma, OTC and grocery organizations.
Currently Mr. Vargas serves as the Director of Neighborhood Marketing and Merchandising for Winn-Dixie Stores (Fortune 500) where he is in charge of strengthening Winn-Dixie's brand equity by developing a transformational, neighborhood driven shopping experience for the Hispanic consumer .
 
Prior to Winn-Dixie, Mr. Vargas had roles of increasing responsibility at Novartis Consumer Health, Unilever, Del Monte Pet Products (Heinz PP prior to acquisition by DLM) and Bayer Consumer Care.
 
Mr. Vargas was born in Boston, raised in Venezuela and lived in England and Austria. He completed his bachelor's degree in Business in Caracas, and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston that included International Business studies in Reims, France.
 

Currently Mr. Vargas serves on the advisory board for the Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication at Florida State University, and is also member of the HACR Corporate Executives Forum.

 
Luis is happily married to Dominique (whom he met through match.com 7 years ago while living 3000 miles apart from each other!) and together are the happy parents of two adorable boys: a 3 year old and a 9 months old. His passions? : His family first, Tae-Kwon-Do (3rd degree black belt), skydiving whenever he gets a chance, snowboarding somewhere in the world, Children International, traveling (35+ countries and counting), and classical music.
